Founded by Ekemini Udoudo, Calabar Studios is the collective effort of young designers, and creatives of the like in the Houston area, building a new avenue for young artists and designers to make commentary on the world around them and how we as humans interact with it.
In the year 2018, the idea of starting a studio came to Ekemini Udoudo, and ever since then all his efforts have been put into making Calabar Studio grow into its full potential. Since then, Ekemini has aided the creative direction for brands such as Grimm Orchid, and DDCT (Do Dreams Come True).
With his architecture degree currently in the works, Ekeminis approach to design and architecture is one that is a celebration of the human experience as a whole, exploring concepts of emotion, shared experiences, culture, and the human condition in general through design.
